Wed, 20 May 2009 09:28:53 -0700 Sadie Gurman, of The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports Indianapolis Colts RB Najeh Davenport's 1970 Chevrolet Impala was stolen and he, along with others, chased after the thief. The thief, Rodney Terrell Green, struck four parked cars, according to police, before getting out of the totaled car and fleeing on foot. He was caught by Davenport and several witnesses, who held him until police arrived.

Person is the mother of Davenport's 5-year-old son, Najeh Davenport Jr.

Anita Person, the mother of his 5-year-old child, said in Cleveland that he slapped her, choked her and punched her stomach. Davenport is charged with misdemeanor domestic violence and child endangering. If he is convicted, Davenport could spend 14 months in jail and face a suspension from the NFL.

Thu, 11 Oct 2007 22:09:15 -0700 Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports Pittsburgh Steelers RB Najeh Davenport has been charged by Cleveland police with three misdemeanor counts in connection with an alleged domestic incident Oct. 4. Cleveland police Lt. Thomas Stacho said Davenport has been charged with domestic violence, endangering children and unlawful restraint. The charges grew out of an alleged dispute between Davenport and Anita Person, the mother of his five-year-old child. According to reports, Cleveland police responded after receiving three 911 calls on the evening of Oct. 4. No arrests were made because they could not determine a primary physical aggressor.
