The Associated Press reports with the Cleveland Browns signing free agent DE Jamal Reynolds (Packers), the Green Bay Packers will take a 2004 salary cap hit of $633,750.

Cleveland Browns DL Jamal Reynolds (Packers) told ClevelandBrowns.com that he is completely healthy and looks forward to competing for a roster spot during training camp. "I think this is a great opportunity for me to join the Browns," Reynolds said. "I know many of the defensive linemen, including Courtney Brown, Gerard Warren and Orpheus Roye and I look forward to getting a chance to work with those guys. I am 100 percent healthy and look forward to getting on the field." Brown recently signed a two-year deal with the Browns after he was released from the Green Bay Packers. Prior to his release, Brown was traded from Green Bay to the Indianapolis Colts, but the deal was voided after he failed a physical.

Rick Braun, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports with the Green Bay Packers waiving DE Jamal Reynolds, the team gains his $455,000 base salary in cap room for 2004 and they also will be able to space the remaining $1.6 million of his signing bonus over the next two seasons unless another team claims Reynolds on waivers. If that happens, then the Packers again will have to take up the final two years of Reynolds' signing bonus on their 2004 salary cap.

The Green Bay Packers have announced the trade of DE Jamal Reynolds to the Indianapolis Colts has been voided after Reynolds failed the Colts' physical. Under terms of the trade, Reynolds' rights reverted back to Green Bay. In turn, the Packers have waived Reynolds.

Mike Chappell, of the Indianapolis Star, reports the Indianapolis Colts acquire the final two years of DE Jamal Reynolds' contract that calls for him to earn base salaries of $450,000 (2004) and $500,000 (2005), but neither is guaranteed. Reynolds could be released during training camp at no cost against the salary cap.
