Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns head coach Butch Davis said OG Enoch DeMar will not be the team's new starting left guard despite replacing OG Paul Zukauskas in the second half Sunday, Oct. 3, against the Washington Redskins, reports Zac Jackson of ClevelandBrowns.com. When asked if DeMar was the new starter, Davis said: "No. Not right now."

Both players will do the same for the Saturday, Aug. 28, preseason game at the Kansas City Chiefs. "We'll give them equal opportunity," Browns head coach Butch Davis said. "I had the whole offseason to work with the strength coach and get stronger," DeMar said. "I did my personal best in the weight room and feel a lot stronger and quicker."

The Cleveland Browns' offensive line for the Sunday, Dec. 28, game against the Cincinnati Bengals could go one of two ways: OLT Barry Stokes at left guard and OG Shaun O'Hara at right guard or O'Hara at left guard and rookie OG Enoch DeMar at right guard, with the other three positions – OLT Joaquin Gonzalez, C Melvin Fowler and ORT Ryan Tucker – locked in. Obviously, the Browns would prefer the first way, with Stokes in the lineup. That's a much more experienced group. If Gonzalez and DeMar play, the Browns would have two inexperienced players starting.
