The St. Louis Rams benched OT Jason Smith in favor of OG Adam Goldberg late in the team's Week 3 game. Smith's poor play, in addition to some critical penalties, led to the benching. "It wasn't my best game," Smith said. "And the coaches pulled me out. I had some penalties in crucial situations ... And I need to play better so I can help the team."

St. Louis Rams OL Adam Goldberg said the offensive linemen have been working out together twice a week during the lockout to build cohesion among the group, reports Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "We train on Tuesdays and Thursdays together as a group," Goldberg said. "That way we get some camaraderie and cohesiveness that everybody who knows anything about football knows is important for our group."
