D. Orlando Ledbetter, of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports Atlanta Falcons WR Adam Jennings (hamstring) will not play in the team's preseason game Saturday, Aug. 26. WR Robert Redd and WR Troy Bergeron might replace him on kickoff returns.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Robert Redd worked at running back during practice Tuesday, Aug. 9, but he wants to make the team so bad that he has recently visited with defensive back coaches Sean McDermott and Trent Walters about being a backup defensive back, according to Eagles offensive coordinator Brad Childress. "He wants to make this team, whether it's as a defensive back, or a running back, or a special teams guy returning punts, or a guy running down covering kicks," Childress said. "He has the ability to do that. Not everybody has the ability to stand back there and do that."

Bob Kent, of PhiladelphiaEagles.com, reports Philadelphia Eagles WR Robert Redd believes his stint in NFL Europe this spring will serve him well entering training camp next month. In Europe, Redd ran with pads and played in game-time situations, so the rust has officially been knocked off, he says. "I'm looking forward to training camp," Redd said. "I'm using the time now to polish things up, so when I come into training camp I can give myself the best chance to make the football team." Redd views himself as a slot receiver and kickoff return man.
