Paul Strelow reports for the New-Herald South Carolina CB Sheldon Brown registered a 4.35 in the 40, then was told the time wouldn’t count because he had worn track shoes, albeit rubber-soled ones. OL Melvin Paige missed the sprints because he could not find his drivers license. CB Andre Goodman could not get a release from his doctor due to a shoulder injury. He hopes to hold an individual workout for scouts April 10. Several scouts who asked to remain anonymous left impressed by Brown’s showing and labeled him a high pick.
