Updating previous reports, Matt Maiocco, of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports the San Francisco 49ers have signed LB Cornelius Anthony. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The San Francisco 49ers will sign LB Cornelius Anthony to the 53-man roster, provided he passes the physical, after they place LB Jamie Winborn (neck) on injured reserve on Saturday, Nov. 15, according to GM Terry Donahue. Anthony was among the final 49ers to be waived at the end of training camp.

SF49ers.com reports San Francisco 49ers LB Cornelius Anthony (leg) suffered a leg injury during the pre-season finale against the San Diego Chargers and will miss two weeks after x-rays revealed a deep bone bruise in his leg.

Matt Maiocco, of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports San Francisco 49ers rookie LB Raymond Wells has the best chance of any of the undrafted rookies to make the team. He is in competition with 49ers LBs Brandon Moore and Cornelius Anthony, as two of those players are likely to earn spots.

Schottenheimer went on to single out WR Justin Skaggs, LB Cornelius Anthony, LB Kevin Nagle and CB Donovan Greer as looking very good during the first two days of mini-camp.
