The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports Pittsburgh Steelers WRs Chris Taylor, Will Blackwell, Demetrius Brown and Tim Baker are battling for what appears to be two roster spots at wide receiver. Blackwell appears to have an edge right now because he's had success as a special teams return man. The team likes Taylor's 4.34 speed, but he may have to impress them in the next few weeks to keep a roster spot with the team.

There is room for a sixth receiver on the team and the coaches may have to decide between seventh-round pick Chris Taylor and Provitt.

According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the team’s negotiations with draft picks are ongoing at a smooth pace. T Casey Hampton, the team’s No. 1 draft choice, is close to signing a deal and the team has started serious negotiations with No. 2 draft pick Kendrell Bell. Meanwhile, a deal could be done with 7th round choice Chris Taylor as early as this week. The Steelers would like to have all their draft picks signed by the start of training camp on July 19.
