TE Cam Cleeland (ankle) did not practice, but he had his protective boot removed too. WR Robert Wilson (finger) is expected to play Sunday.

The Advocate reports New Orleans Saints backup CB Michael Hawthorne will miss one or two games because of a high ankle sprain suffered against the 49ers last week. CB Steve Israel (calf), WR Robert Wilson (finger) and TE Cam Cleeland (ankle) likely will be out again this week. Two starters, C Jerry Fontenot (stinger) and OT Willie Roaf (knee) are expected to be ready for Sunday.

The Times Picayune reports New Orleans Saints CB Fred Thomas limped off the field at Thursday's practice after twisting his right ankle. The ankle was taped, and Thomas returned to the field. Reserve DE Willie Whitehead, who has a sprained right medial collateral ligament, returned to practice after working on the side on his own Wednesday. WR Wane McGarity said he hadn't been told whether he will be activated for Sunday's game. If WR Robert Wilson (finger) is OUT, McGarity could be active.
