The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed free agent S Rick Sherrod to a contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Sherrod has spent time with the New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys during his career.

DallasCowboys.com reports the Dallas Cowboys have signed free agent CB Rick Sherrod. He spent parts of last season on the Saints practice squad.

Saints | Two UDFA Added

The Times-Picayune reports the New Orleans Saints signed two more undrafted free agents over the weekend, S Rick Sherrod from West Virginia and P/PK Javier Beorlegui from Cenrtral Florida. The Saints outbid the Chicago Bears for Sherrod. Earlier reports had him signed by Buffalo, but that was not the case.

NCAA | Hula Bowl Notes

The AP reports Hawaii QB Nick Rolovich threw three TD passes in the first half of Sunday's Hula Bowl on his way to being named the game's MVP. QB Eric Crouch of Nebraska was 4-of-11 for 45 yards and three interceptions. RB Verron Haynes of Georgia rushed for 84 yards and a TD. Rolovich finished with 171 yards on 10-of-18 passing with two interceptions and the three TDs. WR Chester Taylor of Toledo won the North MVP award with his 61-yard, two-touchdown performance. Several DBs had a pair of interceptions, including Jermaine Chapman of Arizona, Ahmad Brooks of Texas and Rick Sherrod of West Virginia. The South won the game 45-28. WR Daryl Jones was the only player from national champion Miami to play. Hawaii WR Craig Stutzmann played, despite fracturing his left hand in practice.
