Matt Mosley, of the Dallas Morning News, reports Dallas Cowboys OL Kurt Vollers' (wrist) right wrist injury does not look good. He had his right wrist wrapped in ice and heavily taped as he left the locker room Monday evening, Aug. 22.

Nick Eatman, of DallasCowboys.com, reports Dallas Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells may be forced to plug OT Kurt Vollers into the starting right tackle job for the time being while OT Jacob Rogers (knee) recovers from his latest knee injury. Parcells wants to use Vollers as the team's top backup tackle on both the left and right sides, but with OT Torrin Tucker continuing to struggle in training camp, the head coach may have to make a move rather quick. Parcells also said he'd prefer the team fix its problems at right tackle with their current personnel rather than sign a veteran free agent.

OT Kurt Vollers has been manning the right tackle position while Young has been out. Young may take some time away from OG Andre Gurode, if Gurode's play does not improve.

Updating previous reports, Matt Mosley, of the Dallas Morning News, reports Dallas Cowboys OT Ryan Young (knee), who has missed two games with a sore right knee, said he doesn't know why he was benched during Sunday's, Nov. 16, game against the New England Patriots. Head coach Bill Parcells said Young's poor play got him pulled. "I thought I was doing OK," Young. Meanwhile, OT Kurt Vollers has been working with the starters during practice this week, and looks likely to get the start in Sunday's, Nov. 23, game against the Carolina Panthers.

Updating previous reports, Dallas Cowboys OT Ryan Young (knee) said Thursday, Nov. 6, that he expects to play Sunday, Nov. 9, against the Buffalo Bills despite a nagging knee injury. However, if Young cannot play, then OT Kurt Vollers and OT Torrin Tucker will rotate at right tackle for the second straight week. Even if Young plays against the Bills it most likely will be a part-time situation because the Dallas coaches want to make sure he gets through the rest of the season.

Hill Jr., of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports that with C Gennaro DiNapoli (ankle) being placed on injured reserve, the Dallas Cowboys have had to make some changes along the offensive line. Matt Lehr will be the full-time center, while OG Tyson Walter has become the primary backup. Tackles Javiar Collins and Kurt Vollers are now backups at the guard spots. And Guard Larry Allen, who was slowed by a knee injury in Sunday's, Oct. 26, game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is expected to go the distance in this week's game against the Washington Redskins.
