Atlanta Falcons WR Woody Dantzler (ankle) sprained his right ankle after being tackled awkwardly on a kickoff return, during the team's preseason finale against the Washington Redskins Friday, Sept. 3, according to AtlantaFalcons.com. The injury occured with five minutes remaining in the first quarter, and Dantzler did not return to the game.

Dantzler will be also tried on kickoff and punt returns. "We want to find a way to get him the ball and give him a legitimate chance to make the team and contribute on special teams," Mora said. "He's not as natural as he will be [later], but he's showing some good things."

Dantzler originally made the Cowboys' practice squad last year as a running back and kick returner. Dantzler will have to make an even bigger impact during camp if he hopes to make the team again. "I want him to be on the punt return, kickoff return, and he's going to have to be on the coverage teams," Parcells said. "If you are going to be a backup safety, you obviously have to play 20 to 25 plays on special teams."
