Chargers | Hart in a battle for playing time

Kevin Acee, of The San Diego Union-Tribune, reports San Diego Chargers SS Clinton Hart may spend half of the snaps on the sideline in 2009 because the Chargers are not working with their base defense much. Hart feels the Chargers have lost a little confidence in him during certain situations. "It's up to me to gain it back," he noted. He is working as a backup in sub packages, as S Steve Gregory is ahead of him and rookie S Kevin Ellison isn't far behind him. Defensive coordinator Ron Rivera acknowledged Hart is in a competition for playing time.
