The Chicago White Sox have purchased the contract of P Bobby M. Jones from the Newark Bears of the Atlantic League, and assigned him to Triple-A Charlotte, according to USAToday.com.

The Kansas City Star's Bob Dutton, reports the Kansas City Royals are considering calling up P Bobby M. Jones from Triple-A Omaha to become the teams left-handed specialist in the bullpen. Jones, who signed a minor league contact with the Royals after being released by the Atlanta Braves, has already worked two scoreless innings in Triple-A. "We've always liked his arm," Royals assistant general manager for player personnel Muzzy Jackson said. "His command is a little erratic. But he's a guy who, if he gets on a roll, could help us up here."
