Dolphins | Newson Confident He Will be Back in 2006

Armando Salguero, of the Miami Herald, reports Miami Dolphins WR Kendall Newson (knee) is due to have another knee surgery in October to repair his torn right ACL after an earlier surgery to repair his patella tendon. Despite the surgeries, Newson is confident he will return for the 2006 season. ''I'm thinking I'll be ready by next March or April,'' Newson said Thursday, Sept. 22. "Things have gone really well so far so I have to be optimistic."

Armando Salguero, of the Miami Herald, reports Miami Dolphins WR Kendall Newson (knee) was carted off the field during the team's game Saturday, Aug. 20, with an apparent serious right knee injury. Further tests will be performed Sunday, Aug. 21.
