Guzman, who is making his way back from major shoulder surgery, has a 3.44 ERA in 19 appearances between Class A Peoria and Daytona.

"I would just say we went into it with no expectations. So we felt if this guy wants to rehabilitate we want to help him. He is one of our favorites. We knew his work ethic going in." There is still no timetable for a potential return to the big club.
