The Cincinnati Reds have agreed to terms with Ps Scott Carroll, Jerry Gil, Jeremy Horst, Donnie Joseph, Matt Klinker and Justin Lehr, Cs Chris Denove and Devin Mesoraco and OFs Danny Dorn and Dave Sappelt on minor league contracts, according to USAToday.com.

Hal McCoy, of The Dayton Daily News, reports Cincinnati Reds IF Jerry Gil is impressing manager Dusty Baker with his work ethic. "He can play any place," said Baker. "It is rare a kid can play shortstop AND the outfield I tell him to go (from outfield) to shortstop or third base and he just says, 'Throw me my other glove.'"
