The Washington Nationals may look to trade C Ivan Rodriguez to the San Francisco Giants after C Buster Posey (ankle, knee) was seriously injured Wednesday, May 25. Rodriguez is only playing around two games a week with the Nationals at this point. C Jose Flores could also be traded.

The Seattle Mariners sent RP Jose Flores back to the Cleveland Indians, according to the Mariner's official Twitter. The Mariners had selected Flores in the Rule 5 draft, but had to return him after he failed to make the Opening Day roster.

Seattle Mariners P Tom Wilhelmsen has given up two runs in eight spring innings this spring and has improved his changeup, according to the Tacoma News Tribune's Larry LaRue. "My changeup has really improved this spring," Wilhelmsen said. "I've learned you've got to get ahead of big league hitters, that you can't throw a pitch – even a good one – in the same spot twice in a row to a good hitter." He is currently competing with RPs Denny Bautista, Jose Flores, Royce Ring and Cesar Jimenez for a spot in the bullpen.

Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.
