Tue, 16 Sep 2003 07:18:51 -0700 The Buffalo News reports the Buffalo Bills' release last week of WR Rodney Wright came shortly after he was charged with driving while intoxicated following a three-car accident in Hamburg, N.Y. Police and team sources said Wright was also charged with driving without a license and making an unsafe lane change after refusing a Breathalyzer test at the scene. Wright's vehicle apparently struck the one ahead of him, sending that vehicle toward oncoming traffic, while he attempted to change lanes. The receiver could face up to three years in prison for violating the California agreement if he's convicted in the Hamburg case.

WR Atnaf Harris and RB James Tillman, who did not play in 2001 also took part. Harper bulked up to 296 pounds, after playing last year at 278. Harper bench-pressed 225 pounds 24 times and ran the 40 in 5.2 seconds.

He finished his college career at Cal State-Northridge. He ran the fastest time in the 40 (4.42 seconds) while also recording the highest vertical jump (40 inches) and the longest broad jump (10 feet, 4 1/2 inches). CB Tierre Sams ran 4.45 in the 40, broad jumped 10-3 and vertical jumped 37 1/2. S Vernon Fox ran 4.48 in the 40 while broad jumping 10-2 and vertical jumping 36 1/2. WR Charles Smith, still hampered by a broken fibula, ran in the 4.7 ran. WR Rodney Wright ran a 4.60 "40."
