The Associated Press reports the Tampa Bay Devil Rays signed IF Jason Romano to a minor-league contract. He's expected to join Triple-A Durham on Thursday, June 22. Financial terms of the contract weren't released.

The Dayton Daily News reports Cincinnati Reds OF Jason Romano was sent outright to Triple-A Louisville on July 14. Romano hit .267 with a homer and three RBI in 19 games, including seven starts, for the Reds. A corresponding roster move will be announced before the July 15 game against the Colorado Rockies.
