Seattle Mariners C Miguel Olivo (groin) said he is not feeling any pain from his groin injury and will be able to do everything behind the plate he could do before being placed on the 15-day disabled list.

Seattle Mariners manager Eric Wedge said he told Miguel Olivo that he will not be catching as much as before because he wants Cs John Jaso and Jesus Montero to get starts behind the plate as well. Olivo could see some time as designated hitter against left-handed pitchers moving forward.

The Seattle Mariners have activated C Miguel Olivo (groin) from the 15-day disabled list. In a corresponding move, the team optioned OF Casper Wells to Triple-A Tacoma.

Seattle Mariners C Miguel Olivo (groin) is no longer with Triple-A Tacoma which could mean he is ready to come off the 15-day disabled list and rejoin the team. Olivo was with Triple-A Tacoma as part of his rehab assignment.

Seattle Mariners C Miguel Olivo (groin) went 1-for-3 and caught five innings in his first rehab game with Triple-A Tacoma Monday, May 21. He will need to catch a full nine innings before he's activated.

Seattle Mariners C Miguel Olivo (groin) is scheduled to join Triple-A Tacoma for a rehab assignment Sunday, May 20. He will catch Monday, May 21, serve as the designated hitter Tuesday, May 22, and make one more appearance behind the plate after that.

Seattle Mariners C Miguel Olivo (groin) is rejoining the team Friday, May 18, but it is strictly for evaluation. "There's no chance he's coming off the disabled list," manager Eric Wedge said. "We just want to test him over a few days ourselves before we send him out on a rehab assignment."

Seattle Mariners C Miguel Olivo (groin) took batting practice in the cage for about 30 minutes Monday, May 7. He also ran for 10 minutes on a treadmill, and made some throws at a distance of 90 feet behind second base. One of the real tests will be when he tries to block pitches in the dirt. "That's not for a few days," Olivo said.
