Houston Astros interim manager Tony DeFrancesco could return to Oklahoma City as the organization's Triple-A manager next season, although he appears to prefer having a spot on the coaching staff of incoming manager Bo Porter. He has also mentioned possibilities in the front office or player development.

The Houston Astros have named Washington Nationals third-base coach Bo Porter as their new manager. Porter will be formally introduced at a press conference on Thursday, Sept. 27. Porter will stay with the Nationals until their postseason is over.

The Florida Marlins interviewed Washington Nationals third base coach Bo Porter for their managerial opening Monday, Sept. 26. Porter will remain with the Nationals if he doesn't receive the gig in Florida.

The Florida Marlins are currently leaning toward retaining manager Edwin Rodriguez for at least one more season, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel's Juan C. Rodriguez. The only other known candidate for the position is former Arizona Diamondbacks third base coach Bo Porter.
