Chargers | VanBuren Probably Needs Surgery

Casey Pearce, of Chargers.com, reports San Diego Chargers OT Courtney VanBuren (knee) will likely need surgery to repair his ailing knee, according to head coach Marty Schottenheimer. "His knee needs to be addressed," Schottenheimer said. "We're not certain yet, but we're pretty sure that he's going to need an operation. It's unfortunate because Courtney is a good young man and he's played well when we've had him out there." As reported, VanBuren will spend the season on Injured Reserve.
