Texas Rangers OF Alex Rios (oblique) is dealing with a mild right oblique strain and is listed as day-to-day.
Fantasy Tip: Oblique strains can be tricky, so this is an injury that could spill into the regular season and affect his performance early on if he doesn't manage it correctly. Unless he suffers another setback, though, it shouldn't affect his draft stock.

The Texas Rangers acquired OF Alex Rios from the Chicago White Sox Friday, Aug. 9. The White Sox will also send $1 million to the Rangers for Rios' salary. The White Sox will receive a player to be named or cash considerations. The Rangers are expected to send SS Leury Garcia to Chicago. With Rios gone, OF Avisail Garcia could come up and see playing time in the majors. Garcia had 10 hits in 24 at-bats (.417) with a home run and nine RBIs with Triple-A Charlotte.
Fantasy Tip: Texas was desperately seeking outfield help with Nelson Cruz suspended for the rest of the season. David Murphy and Craig Gentry are expected to platoon in left field from here on out.
Blake Tekotte was called up today, but if Garcia is brought up also, the latter should see most of the playing time for the rest of the year. Add Garcia immediately in AL-only leagues, for now.
