The New York Yankees have expressed interest in Minnesota Twins OF Josh Willingham, Philadelphia Phillies OF Marlon Byrd and Texas Rangers OF Alex Rios. Willingham is the most appealing player to them because of his reasonable salary ($7 million) and due to the fact that he is eligible for free agency after the season.

Fantasy Tip: It's probably more so the lack of power that's bringing him down. In a new, competitive environment, he may get a jolt there. He seems to play up or down to whatever competitive environment his current team is experiencing.

Texas Rangers OF Alex Rios (ankle) is back in the lineup Wednesday, July 23, after missing four games due to a sprained right ankle. Rios said he was ready to play Tuesday, July 22, but "wasn't at 100 percent." He's wearing a heavy wrap on it, but it had improved before Wednesday's game.

Fantasy Tip: Throw him back into your lineup, as well.

He tested his sprained right ankle before the game Tuesday, July 22 and pronounced himself ready to go. However, manager Ron Washington wanted to give him an extra day of rest.

Texas Rangers OF Alex Rios is the subject of trade interest from the Toronto Blue Jays, one of his former teams, because of their recent rash of offensive injuries, according to sources. The Kansas City Royals and Seattle Mariners are also interested, and the San Francisco Giants may increase their attention toward him, as well.

Fantasy Tip: Rios could receive a jolt from new surroundings and gain some more fantasy life, especially in the power department. Toronto would be the preferred stop to facilitate that rebound.
