Mike Kiley of The Chicago Sun-Times reports Chicago Cubs 3B/OF David Kelton is being groomed as a possible starter in left for 2005 should OF Moises Alou leave as a free agent. He played 10 games with the Cubs last season and is expected to spend most of this season at Triple-A Iowa for the second straight year. "This has become a big year for David with Mo's situation,'' general manager Jim Hendry said. "We would like somebody from the system to be able to make the club next year as an infielder and outfielder.''
