The Associated Press reports a plea deal offered Tuesday could keep former NFL WR Brian Blades out of jail. He was charged last month with resisting arrest with violence and interfering with a police officer and disorderly intoxication. If found guilty, he could be sentenced to 11 years in jail.

The AP reports former NFL WR Brian Blades pleaded innocent Monday to charges stemming from brawl at a restaurant last month. Blades pleaded innocent to resisting arrest with violence and interfering with a police officer.

Associated Press reports former Seattle Seahawks WR Brian Blades was arrested on Monday after fighting with a police officer. Blades was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He was released from the Miami-Dade County Jail on a $10,500 bond and arraignment has been set for Aug. 5.

The AP reports former NFL WR Brian Blades was arrested early Monday and charged with battery on a police officer. Other charges were filed as well, resisting arrest with violence and disorderly intoxication. He was released with a $10,500 bond. Four other people were also arrested.

SportsTicker reports the Seattle Seahawks released veteran WR Brian Blades who was heading into the third year of a three-year, $4.5 million contract. "It is never easy to tell a great warrior that you are moving in another direction, but that time has come," said Seahawks coach and general manager Mike Holmgren. "We wish Brian the very best and even though he will no longer be wearing a Seahawks uniform, he will always be a member of this family."
