The Detroit News reports free agent QB Jim Harbaugh (Chargers) would like to play quarterback for the Lions. He visited the Lions on Saturday and said he hopes to know early this week if they will sign him. "I thought it went real well," Harbaugh said of his visit. The team is seeking a veteran backup to starting QB Charlie Batch and Harbaugh said he'd be fine with that role. Reportedly, there was some general contract talk with Harbaugh and he was satisfied with what the Lions are willing to pay. G Brendan Stai of Jacksonville and long-snapper/TE Bradford Banta of the New York Jets also, as expected, were in town visiting with the Lions.
