The Detroit News reports Detroit Lions S Kurt Schulz, 33, and LS Bradford Banta, 31, don't appear to be in the Houston Texans plans for the upcoming expansion draft because both are over 30-years of age. As KFFL reported on Wednesday, neither QB Charlie Batch of RB James Stewart, who will be 31 in December, appear to interest the Texans either. Neither player was brought in for a physical by the team.

As an update to previous reports, the deal free agent TE/long-snapper Bradford Banta (Jets) received from the Detroit Lions is indeed for five-years. He'll have a base salary of $477,000 during each season.
