The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports Cleveland Browns rookie RB Willie Green has been practicing with the No. 3 offense during minicamp. This is significant because the No. 3 offense has gotten the majority of the work in the afternoon practices. Green is competing against RB James Jackson and RB Jamel White for the starting halfback position.

The Miami Herald reports that WR Willie Green has finally signed his contract with the Dolphins and the team will formally announce it as soon as it receives the signed contract. "If I could not have gotten on a team with playoff potential, I would have walked away from football," Green said. "I could have done that with no remorse or regret. This [signing] isn't about money. It's about me having a chance to win a third consecutive Super Bowl."

The Miami Herald reports that in their effort to find some salary cap space the Dolphins have restructured the contract of LB Zach Thomas. Yes, it's the contract he just signed seven days ago. The team saved about $1.3 million in cap space. The team still expects to sign WR Willie Green and as reported earlier this morning Green is expected to sign a three-year $3 million contract (with incentives). Team officials said they have enough salary cap money to sign "any Free Agent" they want. Concerning the Thomas deal, agent Drew Rosenhaus said, "Zach was happy to do it because it helps him with more guaranteed money and it helps the team with the salary cap."

The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins are on the verge of signing Free Agent WR Willie Green. The deal is expected to be a fairly small contract money wise and it's not known how his signing will affect the Dolphins plans towards signing either Sean Dawkins or Leslie Shepherd. One factor weighing heavily on any Dolphins signing of a WR is the relatively cheap contract of their No. 1 WR O.J. McDuffie ($1.3 million per year). The team does not want to upset McDuffie.
