The San Diego Union Tribune reports that after Chargers coach Mike Riley and GM Bobby Beathard talked, they have decided not to pursue veteran QB Dave Kreig. "Mike just said he doesn't want to do it," said Beathard. "He feels right now that Craig Whelihan has come along and that he doesn't see someone on the tapes who is better or offers more."

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that Chargers GM Bobby Beathard said that the team hopes to bring in veteran QB Dave Kreig for a workout early next week. According to Beathard he fills the need of someone with starting experience and a reputation for being a solid pro and good locker-room guy.
