Sedrick Irvin and Amp Lee are also in the mix. Irvin continues to show great hands, but isn't very fast. "I came here to compete for the job," Warren said the other morning, "but I feel like this is such a good team it'll be a winner regardless of who the starter is. I'm not concerned about where I may be on the depth chart right now. I just want an opportunity to show what I can do." Warren is thinking more positively, believing he will prove to be more than a stopgap between Robert Edwards, whose career was placed in jeopardy by an offseason knee injury, rookie draft pick Kevin Faulk of LSU or whatever other veteran Grier may pick up this summer. "I think I'm capable of starting," said Warren. "I've spent five years watching and learning from the best, so I think I'm ready to prove I belong. All I ever wanted was a chance to prove myself and I know I'm going to get that here." Warren also said he is impressed by the level of competition in the AFC East.
