Detroit Tigers DH/1B Victor Martinez could be used at catcher early in the 2015 season. If 1B Miguel Cabrera (ankle) is ready for the beginning of the season, Martinez will be used at catcher during the road series against the Pittsburgh Pirates April 13-15. If Cabrera is out, V-Mart will be at first base. The Tigers play seven more games in National League parks without the designated hitter in 2015.
