Kelly Thesier, of Minnesota.Twins.MLB.com, reports Minnesota Twins 1B Ken Harvey (knee) will have to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee and will be out four to six weeks. The injury means Harvey's chances of making the team are all but gone.

Kelly Thesier, of Twins.MLB.com, reports Minnesota Twins 1B Ken Harvey (chest) returned to the lineup Monday, March 12, against the Florida Marlins. Harvey had two at-bats against the Marlins before he "felt something in the muscle." Harvey hadn't played since Feb. 28 when he pulled a muscle in his chest. Manager Ron Gardenhire said that Harvey will try to play through the injury.

Kelly Thesier, of Minnesota.Twins.MLB.com, reports after having only nine home runs hit by designated hitters in 2006, the Minnesota Twins are in the market for a power-hitting designated hitter. The early favorite for the job heading into spring training is OF Jason Kubel, provided he can stay healthy this season. Kubel's biggest challengers will likely be 1B Ken Harvey and C Matthew LeCroy.
