Mets | Michael Cuddyer plays full game

Fantasy Tip: The good news is that Cuddyer played a full game without any setbacks. FantasyScore owners can feel free to plug him back in at $2,600 (or 5.2% of cap). There arenít too many cleanup hitters out there with that low of a price tag, so there is some value.

Mets | Michael Cuddyer hopes to play Wednesday

Wed, 15 Apr 2015 08:54:24 -0700

New York Mets OF Michael Cuddyer (hand) hopes to play Wednesday, April 15, after suffering a bruised left hand Tuesday, April 14, after being hit by a pitch. "I feel all right," Cuddyer said. "I'm obviously relieved it's not broken. It's a little sore, but I'll be fine. I don't think it's severe. As of right now, I don't think I'll need any days (off), but we'll see how it feels in the morning."

Fantasy Tip: It's unknown if Cuddyer ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) will be in today's lineup against the Philadelphia Phillies. It seems likely that the Mets would give him a day off, so he's not the safest FantasyScore player Wednesday. Expect Kirk Nieuwenhuis ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) to get the nod if Cuddyer doesn't play, and he'll be a nice sleeper against Phillies right-hander Jerome Williams Wednesday.

Mets | Lucas Duda to sit this weekend

Wed, 08 Apr 2015 15:39:17 -0700

New York Mets 1B Lucas Duda isn't involved in a platoon at first base, but manager Terry Collins said Duda will sit one of the games this weekend with the team facing two left-handed pitchers from the Atlanta Braves Friday, April 10, and Sunday, April 12. OF John Mayberry Jr. will enter the lineup as a result, with OF Michael Cuddyer shifting to first base. Duda hit just .180 with two home runs and 10 RBI in 111 at-bats versus southpaws in 2014.

Fantasy Tip: Be careful with Duda ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) at FantasyScore this weekend. It's best to avoid him in both those games against lefty starters. Mayberry ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) is much better in his career against lefties (.269 average), but he's a lukewarm daily option if he enters the starting lineup.
