Jeremy Bonderman Fantasy Baseball News, Notes, Rumors and Statistics
The latest Jeremy Bonderman MLB and fantasy baseball news
Sun, 31 Mar 2013 20:58:16 -0700 Updating a previous report, Seattle Mariners SP Jeremy Bonderman (arm) has accepted an assignment to Triple-A Tacoma, and he will continue his comeback from a bevy of arm injuries.
Thu, 28 Mar 2013 18:36:05 -0700 Seattle Mariners general manager Jack Zduriencik said the team has not heard from SP Jeremy Bonderman on whether Bonderman will accept an assignment to Triple-A Tacoma.
Wed, 27 Mar 2013 12:12:47 -0700 The Seattle Mariners optioned SP Erasmo Ramirez to Triple-A Tacoma and reassigned SP Jeremy Bonderman to minor league camp Wednesday, March 27. Fantasy Tip: Brandon Maurer has won the final rotation spot thanks to an excellent spring performance. He's definitely worth owning in AL leagues, but don't let Ramirez slip off your radar. He has more upside and should be the first one called on if they need to shuffle the rotation in season.
Wed, 20 Mar 2013 15:34:04 -0700 Seattle Mariners SP Jeremy Bonderman allowed just one run and five hits while striking out four in five innings against minor leaguers Wednesday, March 20, as he attempts to win a rotation spot. Bonderman will probably benefit from spending some time at Class AAA, however. SP Jon Garland has a leg up on one of the rotation spots. Fantasy Tip: Bonderman should probably be considered a long shot to start in the rotation, as he's also battling Blake Beavan, Erasmo Ramirez and Brandon Maurer. He could retire if he doesn't get the job, too.
Fri, 15 Mar 2013 09:56:52 -0700 Seattle Mariners SPs Brandon Maurer, Blake Beavan or Erasmo Ramirez won't be pitching out of the bullpen if they don't make the starting rotation. Maurer, Beavan and Ramirez are competing with SPs Jon Garland and Jeremy Bonderman for the final two rotation spots this spring, and the young pitchers will be sent to Triple-A Tacoma if they don't make the roster. Bonderman or Garland might also be sent down, but it's doubtful both will. With the way Garland has pitched, he's likely to crack the rotation. Maurer is going to have to be very good the rest of the spring because he's yet to pitch at Class AAA and has plenty of options left. Ramirez missed a big chunk of last year with an elbow injury and had only limited success last year. Beavan's arm is developed enough to handle a large workload, so he might be the most likely to win a rotation spot.
Thu, 07 Mar 2013 16:59:55 -0800 Seattle Mariners SP Jeremy Bonderman gave up one run and three hits while striking out two in three innings Thursday, March 7. "Bonderman continues to impress," manager Eric Wedge said.
Thu, 21 Feb 2013 14:58:15 -0800 Behind Seattle Mariners SPs Felix Hernandez, Hisashi Iwakuma and Joe Saunders, SPs Blake Beavan and Erasmo Ramirez are the front-runners to fill out the rotation, but they'll have to withstand pushes from Ps Taijuan Walker, Danny Hultzen, James Paxton and Brandon Maurer. Also, SPs Jon Garland and Jeremy Bonderman are making good impressions early in spring. "They've both been very impressive," manager Eric Wedge said of Garland and Bonderman. "It's early in camp, and we have to see how they stand the test of wear and tear and going out there and pitching on a regular basis. But they're both going to get good opportunities to make this ballclub." Bonderman is weighing 220 pounds this spring, which is around 25 pounds less than he weighed when he played for the Detroit Tigers.
Tue, 19 Feb 2013 18:41:34 -0800 Seattle Mariners Ps Jeremy Bonderman (elbow) and Jon Garland (shoulder), two veteran pitchers coming back from arm problems, will throw their first live batting practice session Wednesday, Feb. 20.
Fri, 15 Feb 2013 17:58:22 -0800 Seattle Mariners Ps Jeremy Bonderman (elbow) and Jon Garland (shoulder) threw well in their second bullpen sessions of the spring Friday, Feb. 15. "They're both very ready to pitch. They came in here ready to go, and I think that was evident with what you saw today in the bullpens," manager Eric Wedge said.
Wed, 13 Feb 2013 11:44:27 -0800 Seattle Mariners SPs Jon Garland and Jeremy Bonderman threw "free and easy" Wednesday, Feb. 13, and manager Eric Wedge will be patient with the two veterans. Beyond SPs Felix Hernandez, Hisashi Iwakuma and Joe Saunders, the final two rotation spots are up for grabs.
