Los Angeles Dodgers OF Yasiel Puig is likely to stay with the team when OFs Matt Kemp (hamstring) and Carl Crawford (hamstring) return from the disabled list, according to manager Don Mattingly.
Fantasy Tip: Given the way Puig has burst on the scene and provided the Dodgers with a spark, this isn't a surprise at all. Andre Ethier has been swinging a hot stick of late, but he'll be the loser in the outfield alignment when both Kemp and Crawford are healthy.

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said OF Carl Crawford's (hamstring) hamstring strain is fairly significant and that Crawford will not be able to come off the disabled list when he is eligible.

The Los Angeles Dodgers placed OF Carl Crawford (hamstring) on the 15-day disabled list with a hamstring strain Monday, June 3, and recalled SP Stephen Fife from Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move. Fife is starting against the San Diego Padres Monday.
Fantasy Tip: Crawford has dealt with nagging injuries all season, but he couldn't get past his latest hamstring ailment. Top outfield prospect Yasiel Puig is now in the fold for L.A., and Skip Schumaker will likely continue to see playing time in the outfield with Matt Kemp (hamstring) also on the DL. Schumaker is worth a look in cavernous mixed leagues and NL-only universes.

Updating an earlier report, Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford (hamstring) left the game Saturday, June 1, due to a hamstring cramp, not a strain. The team will know more in the next couple of days.

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford (hamstring) left the game Saturday, June 1, with an apparent hamstring injury.
Fantasy Tip: The team hesitated to call up prospects Yasiel Puig and Joc Pederson because they wanted to give them more seasoning. They may have to call up one of them now. Pederson isn't on the 40-man roster, but Puig is. Alex Castellanos is another option. We'd pick up Puig as a speculative move. He's hitting .313-8-37 with 13 steals at Double-A.
Fri, 31 May 2013 13:02:08 -0700
Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford (back) is sore Friday, May 31, after crashing into the wall while making a catch Thursday, May 30. "Pretty much my whole body," he said. "I mean, something like that it's not just one spot. You run into a wall, so you're pretty much going to have aches and pains all over."
Fantasy Tip: Crawford, despite his nagging injuries this year, has been one of the few bright spots for the Blue. They'll need him to pick up the slack and stay healthy after Matt Kemp (hamstring) landed on the DL yesterday.
Thu, 09 May 2013 10:54:59 -0700
Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford (hamstring) sat out with a tight hamstring Wednesday, May 8. Crawford was healthy enough to enter as a pinch-hitter late in the game, however.
Sat, 04 May 2013 10:09:30 -0700
Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford (hamstring) legged out an infield single in an appearance as a pinch hitter against the San Francisco Giants Friday, May 3. It was his first appearance in a game since Monday, April 29, when he suffered a right hamstring injury while making a diving catch in a game against the Colorado Rockies.
Fri, 03 May 2013 18:12:03 -0700
Los Angeles Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said Friday, May 3, that OF Carl Crawford (hamstring) is available as a pinch hitter, if needed. Crawford said earlier in the day that he had an MRI, and the strain is considered "minor."
Fri, 03 May 2013 16:44:07 -0700
