Dodgers | Carl Crawford playing Sunday

Sun, 02 Aug 2015 12:12:42 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford is in the starting lineup Sunday, Aug. 2, batting sixth against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Fantasy Tip: Crawford ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) is in the starting lineup for the first time this week, and his .308 average at Dodger Stadium may be part of the reason why.

Dodgers | Yasiel Puig sits

Sat, 25 Jul 2015 14:42:04 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Yasiel Puig is out of the lineup Saturday, July 25, with OF Carl Crawford hitting sixth.

Fantasy Tip: CC ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) has the tall task of facing Matt Harvey and he's not a real good buy on FantasyScore.

Dodgers | Alex Guerrero starting against Mets

Fri, 24 Jul 2015 12:48:00 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Alex Guerrero is starting in left field and batting fifth against New York Mets SP Jon Niese Friday, July 24. OFs Carl Crawford and Andre Ethier are not in the starting lineup Friday.

Fantasy Tip: Dating back to Thursday, June 4, Guerrero ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) is mired in a 9-for-58 run without an extra-base hit. Still, he has power upside and owns a .491 slugging percentage this season despite the recent drought. View Guerrero as a high-risk, high-reward FantasyScore option Friday.

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford is hitting sixth Wednesday, July 22, against Atlanta Braves SP Julio Teheran.

Fantasy Tip: Crawford ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) is a roll of the dice on FantasyScore after missing much of the season with an oblique injury.

Dodgers | Carl Crawford makes appearance

Tue, 21 Jul 2015 20:24:44 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford (oblique) was activated from the 60-day disabled list Tuesday, July 21, and appeared as a pinch runner in the game against the Atlanta Braves.

Fantasy Tip: Crawford is not expected to be one of the top three outfielders now that he is back, as Andre Ethier seized one of the starting jobs in his absence. Even at just $2,400 (or 4.8% of cap) he is not worth using in FantasyScore right now.

Dodgers | Carl Crawford eyeing Tuesday for return

Mon, 20 Jul 2015 13:02:24 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford (oblique) said he expects to be activated for the game against the Atlanta Braves Tuesday, July 21.

Fantasy Tip: Crawford ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) has played just 15 games this season and hasn't played since Monday, April 27. Expect it to take some time for him to shake off the rust, and there is no clear indication how frequently he'll slide into the starting lineup. Still, Crawford is a former fantasy star, and he has posted great numbers for stretches over the past few seasons. He is worth a speculative add in deep mixed leagues and will be a nice value play at FantasyScore once he finds his groove at the dish.

Dodgers | Carl Crawford to rejoin team Monday

Sun, 19 Jul 2015 12:56:56 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford (oblique) will join the team in Atlanta Monday, July 20, although it is uncertain if he will be activated from the disabled list immediately, according to manager Don Mattingly. He will be used exclusively in left field once he returns to action, with current left fielder Andre Ethier expected to be used occasionally in center field or right field whenever Crawford is in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Crawford ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) is wrapping up a minor league rehab assignment with Class AAA Oklahoma City. He was batting .245 in 15 games prior to being injured and should only be considered for NL-only fantasy leagues at this point.

Dodgers | Carl Crawford could return soon

Fri, 17 Jul 2015 14:47:41 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford (oblique) is set to play for Class AAA through Sunday, July 19, and he could come off the disabled list after that.

Fantasy Tip: Crawford ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) hasn't played since April 27. While both Crawford and Andre Ethier ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) swing from the left side, Crawford could steal valuable playing time away from the slumping Ethier in the second half. Check to see Crawford was dumped in your league, as he could be a nice asset in the second half if he sees enough playing time and gets on track.

Dodgers | Carl Crawford back after break?

Wed, 08 Jul 2015 05:34:13 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Carl Crawford (oblique) could be back after the All-Star break if his rehab goes well. He is currently at Class AAA Oklahoma on a rehab stint.

Fantasy Tip: Crawford ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) carries less fantasy value because of that crowded Dodgers outfield, but this is still good news. He could be a boost to the team, so keep an eye on how he is utilized.

Dodgers | Carl Crawford set for rehab stint

Mon, 29 Jun 2015 17:49:27 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford (oblique) will begin a minor-league rehab stint with Class A Rancho Cucamonga Tuesday, June 30.

Fantasy Tip: The team isn't in a giant hurry for Crawford to return, and he is expected to be the fourth outfielder when he is healthy enough to play for the big club. Andre Ethier ($3,500; or 7.0% of cap) has surpassed him on the depth chart and is a better FantasyScore option at this point.
