Tom Kowalski, of Mlive.com, reports there is no indication of where the Detroit Lions will turn for their offensive coordinator position now that Mike Martz is no longer in the running. The team has previously spoken with former Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Tom Rossley and Cincinnati Bengals WRs coach Hue Jackson.

Updating previous reports, Tom Kowalski, of Mlive.com, reports the Detroit Lions have had preliminary talks with former Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Tom Rossley about their offensive coordinator position.

Lions | Team not as close as reported with Martz

Tom Kowalski, of mlive.com, reports the Detroit Lions are not as close to a new offensive coordinator as previously reported. Contrary to reports that former St. Louis Rams head coach Mike Martz will decide by Monday, Jan. 30, whether to take the Lions job, a source close to the situation said not only has Martz not been offered the job, but he has yet to have a formal interview with new Lions head coach Rod Marinelli. According to the same source, Marinelli is reviewing all the candidates and he is not close to making a decision. The list of candidates for the offensive coordinator job includes Cincinnati Bengals wide receivers coach Hue Jackson and former Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Tom Rossley.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports the New York Jets are giving some consideration to interviewing former Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Tom Rossley for their vacant offensive coordinator position.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports Detroit Lions head coach Rod Marinelli has talked to former Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Tom Rossley, who would be a candidate as coordinator or for one of several position jobs.

Tom Silverstein, of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, reports Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Tom Rossley returned to work Monday, Sept. 26, after missing the first quarter of the Week 3 game due to chest discomfort. All test results were negative.

The Associated Press reports Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Tom Rossley was taken to a hospital for tests when he fell ill before the Packers Week 3 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He returned to the sidelines in the second quarter after being cleared by doctors.
