The Post Dispatch reports the St. Louis Rams and the NFL have yet to confirm the team's five-player expansion list. Agents for LBs Mark Fields and Brian Allen, and RB Justin Watson confirmed their clients are on the list. There has been no word on the other two projected members of the list, CB Jacoby Shepherd and RT Ryan Tucker.

The St. Louis Post Dispatch reports St. Louis Rams S Adam Archuleta (ankle) is doubtful for this weekend's game and LB Dustin Cohen (bruised knee) may miss his second straight game. RB Marshall Faulk (knee), LBs Mark Fields (ankle) and Brian Allen (hamstring), TE Ernie Conwell (shoulder), WR Az-Zahir Hakim (ankle), OG Tom Nutten (ankle) and CB Jacoby Shepherd (quad) are all probable but banged up. Most of the players were held out of Wednesday's practice, but Nutten tried to participate in some drills. The team has Thursday off.

The Post-Dispatch reports St. Louis Rams starting LG Tom Nutten suffered a left ankle sprain in the first half of today's game. He was replaced by Frank Garcia the rest of the game. Coach Mike Martz said Nutten had another high ankle sprain. LB Dustin Cohen also left late in the second quarter because of knee tendinitis. The Rams had several assorted bumps and bruises, none of which are considered serious. As previously reported S Kim Herring left with a mild concussion and DE Leonard Little suffered a "stinger." DB Jacoby Shepherd has a hip flexor injury.

The Post-Dispatch's Jim Thomas reports St. Louis Rams CB Jacoby Shepherd and WR Yo Murphy got into a heated punch-throwing, facemask-grabbing scuffle Thursday at practice. Coach Mike Martz responded by tossing them from practice. Martz was not happy with either player.

The Post-Dispatch reports the NFL has fined nine St. Louis Rams players $5,000 apiece for violations of the NFL's uniform code in Sunday's game against Miami. S Kim Herring was among the Rams players who got the bad news in a letter from the NFL. His socks were too high. FB James Hodgins, CB Dexter McCleon, and safeties Adam Archuleta and Rich Coady all were fined for wearing their socks either too high or too low. WRs Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt, and DBs Dre' Bly and Jacoby Shepherd were fined for wearing pants that didn't cover their knees.

The Post-Dispatch reports St. Louis Rams starting LB London Fletcher (hamstring), C Frank Garcia (toe), starting DE Grant Wistrom (knee), and rookie TE Brandon Manumaleuna (ankle) are questionable for the team's game on opening day against the Eagles. Two players who played Friday despite tight hamstrings, CB Jacoby Shepherd and WR Yo Murphy, are fine. G Cameron Spikes, who slightly injured his sternum Friday night, should also be fine.

The Post-Dispatch reports St. Louis Rams backup C Frank Garcia will be out two weeks at the most after suffering a hyperextended big toe in practice Wednesday. X-rays were negative. Safeties Kim Herring (hamstring) and Adam Archuleta (hamstring); LBs Mark Fields (thigh) and London Fletcher (hamstring); and CB Aeneas Williams (back) all missed practice for the second day Thursday. None are expected to play in Friday's pre-season game. CBs Jacoby Shepherd and Jerametrius Butler were held out for the second day Thursday because of tight hamstrings. Both are expected to play Friday night.

Jim Thomas reports for the Post-Dispatch St. Louis Rams coach Mike Martz said S Rich Coady (hamstring) and rookie CB Jerametrius Butler (hamstring) will do some running on the side this week. The team anticipates they will return to the practice field the following week at full speed. Their target date for game action is August 25 in San Diego. S Kim Herring, who is recovering from a more serious hamstring injury, is due back one week later. CB Jacoby Shepherd (hamstring) is expected to practice this week.

Jim Thomas reports for the Post-Dispatch several St. Louis Rams players returned to practice on Friday. FB Larry Bowie (toe), TE Ernie Conwell (knee), DE Leonard Little (knee), DE Sean Moran (back), and G Tom Nutten (ankle) were all at practice on Friday. Most of those players are expected to play on Saturday, except for possibly Conwell. CB Jacoby Shepherd rested his hamstring once again, and it probably will be a game-day decision on whether he plays in Buffalo.

The Post-Dispatch reports St. Louis Rams C Frank Garcia (wrist) returned to practice on Thursday. Starting LG Tom Nutten remained out with a twisted ankle, but he is expected to return Friday. Others missing practice with injuries were FB Larry Bowie (toe), CB Jacoby Shepherd (hamstring), DE Sean Moran (back) and WR Darrius Blevins (knee). Blevins has a bone bruise. Coach Mike Martz said he expects backup S Rich Coady back by next week, then starting FS Kim Herring the following week. Both are recovering from hamstring injuries.
