The team then moved Mike Maslowski to the middle where he is backing up Marvcus Patton. Larry Atkins, who just moved to linebacker from safety, is backing up Bush. DE Eric Hicks and RB Priest Holmes had the mini-camp's first fight. Coach Dick Vermeil expects undrafted free agent PK Lawrence Tynes to challenge Todd Peterson for the starting PK job.

Ravens | Debt Revealed |
Sun, 30 May 1999 16:15:00 -0700
The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports, for the first time, Ravens owner Art Modell admitted the extent of his team's debt. He told the Washington Post it amounted to $180 million. Modell's debt might impair the team's ability to re-sign two of its key players who become free agents next year, defensive end Mike McCrary and guard Jeff Blackshear. McCrary is asking for a new six-year, $42 million deal, which would make him the league's highest-paid end. Blackshear is looking for about $20 million over five-years. The Ravens fear that one or both players could wind up in Cleveland if they test the open market next year.
