DetroitLions.com reports Detroit Lions LB Josh Thornhill (foot) wasnít able to take part in Mondayís mini-camp. Head coach Steve Mariucci said he underwent surgery on Friday to repair a stress fracture in his foot. Heís expected to be out of action six-to-eight weeks.

The Lansing State Journal reports LB Josh Thornhill, of Michigan State, is expected to sign a two-year deal with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted rookie free agent. He's likely to serve as a backup at middle linebacker.
