The Fresno Bee's Marek Warszawski reports the Oakland Raiders, Minnesota Vikings, Tennessee Titans and Cincinnati Bengals were among the teams in attendance at Fresno State's Pro Day Thursday. A lot of team's stayed away because QB David Carr is a sure top three pick. Taking part in the workout were DT Alan Harper, LB Maurice Rodriguez, RB Paris Gaines, safeties Vernon Fox and Anthony Limbrick, CBs Tierre Sams and Devon Banks, WRs Rodney Wright and Charles Smith and NT Grant Harrington. WR Atnaf Harris and RB James Tillman, who did not play in 2001 also took part. Harper bulked up to 296 pounds, after playing last year at 278. Harper bench-pressed 225 pounds 24 times and ran the 40 in 5.2 seconds.

The Fresno Bee's Marek Warszawski reports ex-Fresno State WR Atnaf Harris put on a remarkable display Thursday at Fresno State's Pro Day. He finished his college career at Cal State-Northridge. He ran the fastest time in the 40 (4.42 seconds) while also recording the highest vertical jump (40 inches) and the longest broad jump (10 feet, 4 1/2 inches). CB Tierre Sams ran 4.45 in the 40, broad jumped 10-3 and vertical jumped 37 1/2. S Vernon Fox ran 4.48 in the 40 while broad jumping 10-2 and vertical jumping 36 1/2. WR Charles Smith, still hampered by a broken fibula, ran in the 4.7 ran. WR Rodney Wright ran a 4.60 "40."

NFL.com's Gil Brandt reports Fresno State CB Tierre Sams checked in at 5-8 1/2, 170 pounds for his Thursday workout for NFL scouts. He ran 4.46 and 4.48 in the "40." He posted a 37½ vertical jump and 10-3 long jump. He benched 11 times.
