The Chicago Sun Times reports Chicago Bears GM Jerry Angelo stated negotiations with head coach Dick Jauron on a contract extension continue. Other than LBs coach Dale Lindsey, the Bears expect all of their assistant coaches to return. Defensive coordinator Greg Blanche will be well taken care of according to Angelo. The team has already given OL coach Bob Wiley and quality-control assistants Charlie Coiner and Chuck Bullough new deals. The team plans to hire a new salary cap wizard in the next few days.

Chargers.com reports the San Diego Chargers have hired Dale Lindsey as their new defensive coordinator. From 1992-96, Lindsey was the linebackers coach on the Chargers defensive staff. "I’m extremely proud that someone has given me an opportunity such as Marty who has a great, proven track record of turning teams around,” said Lindsey.
