White Sox | Adam LaRoche back in there

Wed, 29 Jul 2015 14:25:03 -0700

Chicago White Sox 1B Adam LaRoche is back in the starting lineup as the designated hitter and is batting fifth against Boston Red Sox SP Rick Porcello Wednesday, July 29.

Fantasy Tip: LaRoche ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) took a couple days off to clear his head and work on his swing mechanics. He has just 10 hits in 71 at-bats (.141 average) in the month of July to drop his season average to .212. Porcello shouldn't instill fear in the hot White Sox hitters, but it's understandable to want to avoid LaRoche in daily games until he shows some signs of life.

White Sox | Adam LaRoche out of Tuesday lineup

Tue, 28 Jul 2015 14:06:28 -0700

Chicago White Sox 1B Adam LaRoche is not in the starting lineup Tuesday, July 28, against the Boston Red Sox. 2B Emilio Bonifacio is in the lineup and serving as the designated hitter.

Fantasy Tip: This is the second straight night LaRoche ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) is not in the lineup. It comes as no surprise with a .120 batting average in the last week. Bonifacio ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) has had no hits against Red Sox starter Wade Miley and therefore carries little fantasy value.

White Sox | Adam LaRoche to work on things

Mon, 27 Jul 2015 15:21:26 -0700

Chicago White Sox 1B Adam LaRoche may sit out the next two games so he could work on some things in the batting cage. LaRoche could return to the lineup Wednesday, July 29.

Fantasy Tip: LaRoche ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) has only six hits in his last 14 games, so a break may help him. Owners on FantasyScore may want to avoid him until he is able to be a more consistent producer at the plate.

White Sox | Adam LaRoche on the bench

Mon, 27 Jul 2015 13:33:53 -0700

Chicago White Sox 1B Adam LaRoche is not in the starting lineup against Boston Red Sox SP Joe Kelly Monday, July 27. OF Adam Eaton will serve as the designated hitter and is batting first in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: LaRoche ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) has struggled this month and is receiving a day off. Eaton ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) is hitting .267 with three home runs and seven RBI this month and could be a solid option for owners on FantasyScore.

White Sox | Adam LaRoche in a tailspin

Wed, 22 Jul 2015 22:17:10 -0700

Chicago White Sox 1B Adam LaRoche was hitless in four at-bats Wednesday, July 22, against the St. Louis Cardinals. He is hitting just .148 (8-for-54) with no home runs and two RBIs in the month of July.

Fantasy Tip: LaRoche ($3,900; or 7.8% of cap) should be avoided in FantasyScore until he gets untracked.

Thu, 16 Jul 2015 07:30:41 -0700

Chicago White Sox 1B Adam LaRoche is 7-for-22 (.318) with a homer and five RBI in his career against Kansas City Royals SP Edinson Volquez. Volquez is the slated starter against the White Sox Friday, July 17.

Fantasy Tip: LaRoche ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) might be a worthwhile flyer on FantasyScore.

White Sox | Adam LaRoche draws into lineup

Sun, 12 Jul 2015 08:53:24 -0700

Chicago White Sox 1B Adam LaRoche is starting at first base and batting fifth against Chicago Cubs SP Jake Arrieta Sunday, July 12.

Fantasy Tip: LaRoche ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) is reeling along a 6-for-39 run with just three runs and five RBI over his past 14 games. FantasyScore players should likely aim higher, especially with a tough matchup facing Arrieta.

White Sox | Jose Abreu out of the lineup

Sun, 12 Jul 2015 08:47:38 -0700

Chicago White Sox 1B Jose Abreu is not in the starting lineup Sunday, July 12. 1B Adam LaRoche is starting at first base and batting fifth against Chicago Cubs SP Jake Arrieta Sunday.

Fantasy Tip: Abreu ($5,700, 11.4% of cap) enters the All-Star break with a respectable 50 runs, 14 home runs, 46 RBI and .296/.343/.492 slash line. However, it is a far cry from the first half he posted last season. LaRoche ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) is nothing more than a flier at FantasyScore Sunday, especially given the tough draw against Arrieta.

White Sox | Adam LaRoche out in NL park

Fri, 10 Jul 2015 11:24:13 -0700

Chicago White Sox 1B Adam LaRoche is not in the starting lineup against Chicago Cubs SP Kyle Hendricks Friday, July 10, with no designated hitter in a National League park.

Fantasy Tip: LaRoche ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) may not see much playing time this weekend for that reason, so make it might be best to stay away from him on FantasyScore. He also has only four hits in 26 at-bats (.154) in July, giving you another reason to avoid him.

White Sox | Adam LaRoche at cleanup

Thu, 09 Jul 2015 09:18:49 -0700

Chicago White Sox 1B Adam LaRoche flip-flopped with OF Avisail Garcia and is hitting cleanup Thursday, July 9, with Garcia hitting fifth.

Fantasy Tip: LaRoche ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) really hasn't done anything to warrant the upgrade in the order. He has a .182 average this month and has hit R.A. Dickey to a .211 clip in his career. Meanwhile, Garcia ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) is more enticing with a .407-0-2 line in July. Anything can happen with a knuckler, though, so neither are great buys on FantasyScore.
