San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh said he feels that signing WR Randy Moss was a smart move. Harbaugh feels the benefits Moss brings to the table outweigh the risks. "We feel it's a good move for us, and we're excited to have Randy on our team," Harbaugh said. "Our dealings with him, our research, we feel that the merits outweigh the risks. I'm looking forward to coaching him. What's going to tell the whole story is from now, the offseason, through training camp, those day to day interactions, how he competes on the field. That's going to determine the reality."

Stanford TE Coby Fleener is on the draft radar of the San Francisco 49ers. Fleener played for head coach Jim Harbaugh while at Stanford. "Coby Fleener won us games," Harbaugh said. "I probably tend to be - I mean, I love these guys. Maybe I am the over-evaluator. My point was it probably takes us some checks and balances with those guys that I know so well."

Harbaugh said Smith is the team's guy at the starting quarterback position. "We're all in lockstep as an organization that Alex Smith is our guy. It's well-documented. You saw the way he played this year," Harbaugh said. "(He is a) tremendous leader on our football team."

San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh, who will be squaring off with his brother and Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh in Week 12, said he appreciates being part of a special first featuring siblings on opposite sidelines as head coaches. However, Jim Harbaugh believes his team got the short end of the straw for having to travel cross-country on a short week. "I definitely think it was very considerate of the NFL to reunite the brothers on Thanksgiving. I think that's going to be very difficult for our team," Harbaugh said. "There's no question that we drew the short end of the straw on this one."

San Francisco 49ers TE Vernon Davis expressed surprise at the team's game plan following Week 2. As a result, Davis and head coach Jim Harbaugh met this week, and Davis told the same things to his head coach. "I had on my mind some things I felt we could've done better," Davis said. "And I pointed them out to him, as far as getting everybody involved - I mean, everybody, all the playmakers that we have. That's what we need to win games. And that's what I'm here for, to win games, help my teammates win games, go to the playoffs and get a chance to appear in the Super Bowl. That's all I think about." Davis has just seven receptions for 65 yards in two games. He had only two passes directed his way in Week 2, catching them both for 18 yards.
