NFL | Little Production Leaves Questions about Tolhurst

Wed, 03 Apr 2002 07:39:08 -0800

The Times-Dispatch reports University of Richmond WR Ryan Tolhurst (5'11", 196 lbs.) may have caught just 52 passes to go along with 6 TDs during four seasons but he's still a possible draft-day selection because of his speed. In 2001, he caught 6 passes for 117 yards in his first game. Then he pulled a calf muscle and was never healthy the rest of the year. During the NFL Combine, he impressed onlookers with 4.45 speed. Tolhurst said NFL talent evaluators have loved his speed and ability to catch, but his limited production is something everyone looks at.
