Strength instructors had Hymes pull a sled carrying weights across the gym room by attaching an elastic cord from his waist to the sled. The drills are aimed at the continued strengthening of Hymes' knee after the wide receiver suffered a season-ending ACL tear before the 2003 season.

Nearly three months after surgery to repair an anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, Baltimore Ravens WR Randy Hymes has finally been cleared to begin running drills by team doctors, reports Adam H. Beasley, of BaltimoreRavens.com. Hynes suffered the injury, which also included damage to his MCL, during the Ravens' final preseason game of 2003. He won't be able to return to the practice field for at least another five months, but will continue to steadily build up his lateral movement in the meantime.
