The Tennessean reports Tennessee Titans backup QB Kevin Daft (shoulder) wasn’t present on Friday because he hasn’t passed the exit physical from NFL Europe due to a shoulder injury. He’s still on roster but hasn’t been cleared to play and it’s unlikely he’ll return to the Titans.

ESPN reports the San Francisco 49ers have placed S John Keith on injured reserve. The 49ers waived No. 3 QB Kevin Daft and CB Jason Suttle, They then signed CB George McCullough, S Al Blades and QB Ricky Ray.

49ers.com reports the team has released QB Rick Mirer. “To let go of Rick is an emotional decision,” said GM Terry Donahue. “He is extremely well liked and respected throughout this building. This was a very difficult decision for Steve, myself and the others who made the decision." The 49ers will add QB Kevin Daft to take Mirer’s spot on the roster. The team also waived S Al Blades Tuesday.
