He won two Super Bowls with the Giants, but apparently the 44-member committee struggled with his itinerant career path, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. Parcells was the head coach of four different teams.

"He's a developing player, just like all young quarterbacks, and there's going to be some good and some not-so-good," Parcells said. "Maybe, we should have (drafted Ryan instead)," Parcells, the Dolphins' former executive vice president of football operations, said. He also said the decision to draft former QB Pat White in the second round of the 2009 draft "violated our principles."

"Get me back out there," Parcells says near the end of the NFL Films-produced documentary. "I can do this one more time. That's how I feel." A top Dolphins official declined to comment about Parcells' future, saying only that Parcells is still a member of the organization.

However, Mortensen added he is not sure if Parcells will pull the trigger and select Bryant in the NFL Draft.
